experience-driven. multi-layered. millennial-friendly.
Live It is a program created to help college students explore their environment and get involved in a wide range of positive experiences and organizations. While being piloted at Penn State, Live It asked us to create a user experience that made this concept easy to understand and interact with on both desktop and mobile platforms.
Live It's home page uses a tiled layout to display many kinds of information. Users can filter by experiences (activities in the area), events (on or off campus), student groups, and articles, or by a tagged category (the activity type). New users can also view a simple how-to section that explains the new platform.
Experience pages give additional information about the activity. Icons give students a quick read on cost, transportation needs, and group count.
Similar to experience pages, group pages give details about the group and display their upcoming events. Users can follow or join groups to stay up-to-date on their activities.
One of the goals of Live It is to become a hub where students can track and balance their extracurricular time, as well as never be at a loss for what to do for fun. Therefore each user has a unique calendar that displays all events they've saved, group events, and popular/suggested events.
